It is with great excitement and gratitude what we share our 2021-22 ASK programs with you all! Whether you are a returning athlete or new to the AVSC community, we look forward to working with you and to another great season of skiing and riding!

PRESEASON

SNOBANDITS – 3 days skiing (age 3.5 – Grade 4); Levels vary.

  • Overview: Be the first on the hill with this 3-Day early season session! Snobandits is a great program to complement any of our full-season programs!
  • Dates:
    • December 4, 11, 18
    • 3 Saturdays
  • Who/Time:
    • Skiers
    • Kindergarten – Grade 4; All levels
      • Time: 10am – 3pm (Full Day Lesson)
    • Pre-Kindergarten (born on or before October 1, 2017); Level 3 or higher
      • Time: 10am – 3pm (Full Day Lesson)
    • Ages 3.5 – Pre-Kindergarten; All levels
      • Time: 9am – 12pm (Half Day Lesson)
  • Where: The Treehouse at Snowmass
  • Details:
    • Lunch included in program fee provided for Full Day lessons through the Treehouse.
    • Snack time offered in the Half Day lessons through the Treehouse; athletes to bring their own snacks that can fit in their ski jacket pockets or fanny pack.
    • Price includes lift pass on lesson days only.
    • No scholarships are available, but payment plans can be arranged.
    • No refunds due to early season ski conditions. 
  • Program Fee Full Day program: $425 until November 1; $475 on or after November 2
  • Program Fee Half Day program: $225 until November 1, $250 on or after November 2

PRE-SCHOOL PROGRAMS - SNOWMASS AND BUTTERMILK 

WEEKDAY WAHOOS – 6 days skiing (3.5 years - Pre K); All levels.

  • NOTE: AVSC is offering Weekday Wahoo programming to local preschool classrooms.  Please sign up for your school’s block noted below.  If your school did not create a block, you have the opportunity to sign up for the “open enrollment” spaces.  If you would like to add an additional lesson on a different day than your school’s block, you can sign up for any of the “open enrollment” spaces. 
     
  • Overview: Weekday Wahoos is where your child will fall in love with the mountain! Learn to ski, from the basics to turning and technique, in dedicated learning areas under the guidance of specially trained pros.
  • Dates:
    • Snowmass:
      • Wednesdays: January 12, 19, 26, February 2, 9 March 1
      • Thursdays: January 13, 20, 27, February 3, 10 March 2
    • Buttermilk:
      • Tuesdays: January 4, 11, 25, February 1, 8, 22
      • Wednesdays: January 5, 12, 26, February 2, 9, 23
    • 6 days of lessons.

SNOWMASS PROGRAMS

ASPENAUTS – 6 days skiing (Pre-Kindergarten or Kindergarten); Levels vary.

  • Overview: Aspenauts is where your child will build and refine their skiing fundamentals in a fun and fast paced environment.   Skiers will learn skills to ski in dedicated areas under the guidance of specially trained pros.
  • Dates:
    • January 8, 9, 22, 29, February 5, 12
    • 6 days of lessons - 5 Saturdays and 1 Sunday (opening weekend is Saturday & Sunday)
  • Who:
    • Skiers
    • Pre-Kindergarten (born on or before October 1, 2017) | Level 3 and above
    • Kindergarten | All Levels
  • Time: 9am – 2pm OR 10am – 3pm (Full Day Lesson)
    • *exact time slot will be announced before the start of the program.
  • Place: The Treehouse at Snowmass
  • Details:
    • Lunch will be included in the price of the program and offered through the Tree House.
    • There will be no lessons on Martin Luther King Weekend and President’s Day Weekend
    • No scholarships are available for this program, but payment plans can be arranged.
    • Price includes lift pass on lesson days only.
  • Program Fee: $735 until November 1; $820 on or after November 2

SNOWARRIORS SNOWMASS – 8 days (Grades 1 - 12); Snowboarding: Level 6 and up. Skiing Level 4 and up 

  • Overview: Learn and develop skills from basic technique to mastering on mountain skills, with great professional instructors in a fun, recreational group environment.
  • Dates:
    • January 8, 9, 22, 29; February 5, 12, 26, March 5
    • 8 days of lessons - 7 Saturdays and 1 Sunday (opening weekend is Saturday & Sunday)
  • Who:
    • Grades 1 – 12
    • Skiers: Level 4 and above
    • Snowboarders: Level 6 and above
  • Time: 8:45am – 2:45pm OR 9:30am – 3:30pm (Full Day lesson)
    • *exact time slot will be announced before the start of the program.
  • Place: Snowmass Two Creeks
  • Details:
    • Lunch: All athletes will be required to bring their own lunch that fits in a fanny pack or a tight fitting backpack.  Shelter will be provided where athletes will eat lunch.
    • There will be no lessons on Martin Luther King Weekend and President’s Day Weekend
    • All beginners (level 1 - 3) in Grades 1- 12 must sign up for Snowarrior Buttermilk Programs.
    • Price includes lift pass on lesson days only.
    • Scholarships available
  • Program Fee: $860 until November 1; $960 on or after November 2

BUTTERMILK PROGRAMS

POWDER PANDAS – 6 days skiing (Kindergarten); All levels.

  • Overview: Powder Pandas is where your child will build and refine their skiing fundamentals in a fun and fast paced environment.   Skiers will learn skills to ski in dedicated areas under the guidance of specially trained pros.
  • Dates:
    • January 8, 9, 15, February 5, 12, 26
    •  6 lesson days - 5 Saturdays and 1 Sunday (opening weekend is Saturday & Sunday)
  • Who:
    • Skier
    • Kindergarten Only
    • All levels
  • Time: 9am – 2pm OR 9:30am – 2:30pm (Full Day lesson)
    • *exact start time to be announced before the start of the program.
  • Place: Buttermilk Hideout
  • Details:
    • Lunch will be included in the price of the program and provided by The Hideout.
    • There will be no lessons over X-Games and President’s Day Weekend
    • No scholarships are available, but payment plans can be arranged.
    • Price includes lift pass on lesson days only.
  • Program Fee: $735 until November 1; $820 on or after November 2

SNOWARRIORS – 6 days skiing or snowboarding (Grades 1 - 12); All Levels.

  • Overview: For kids of all levels who want to learn and develop skiing or snowboarding skills in a fun, recreational group environment led by great professional instructors.
  • Dates:
    • January 8, 9, 15, February 5, 12, 26
    •  6 days of lessons - 5 Saturdays and 1 Sunday (opening weekend is Saturday & Sunday)
  • Who:
    • Grades 1 – 12
    • Skiers:  All levels.
    • Snowboarders: All Levels.
  • Time: 9am – 3pm OR 9:30am – 3:30pm (Full Day lesson)

  • Place: Buttermilk Hideout
  • Details:
    • Lunch is included in the price of the program and will be offered through Bumps & Cliffhouse Restaurant.
    • There will be no lessons over X-Games and President’s Day Weekend
    • Price includes lift pass on lesson days only.
    • Scholarships are available.
  • Program Fee: $735 until November 1; $820 on or after November 2

HIGHLANDS PROGRAMS 

BIGHORNS – 8 days skiing (Kindergarten & Grade 1); Level 6 and above.

  • Overview: Geared towards skiers who are ready for the challenge of Highlands and who are already a strong level 6 skier.  Athletes should be able to handle poles, hockey stop, and make consistent parallel turns.
  • Dates:
    • January 8, 9, 22, 29, February 5, 12, 26, March 5
    • 8 days of lessons - 7 Saturdays and 1 Sunday (opening weekend is Saturday & Sunday)
  • Time: 9am – 3pm (Full Day Lesson)
  • Who:
    • Kindergarten – Grade 1
    • Skiers
    • Level 6 and above
  • Place: Aspen Highlands Base
  • Details:
    • Lunch will be included in the price of the program and offered through the Merry Go Round.
    • There will be no lessons on Martin Luther King Weekend and President’s Day Weekend
    • No scholarships available for this program, but payment plans can be arranged.
    • Price includes lift pass on lesson days only.
Program Fee: $980 until November 1; $1090 on or after November 2

RIDGERUNNERS – 12 days skiing (Grades 2 - 8); Level 6 and above.

  • Overview: Ridgerunners become well-rounded skiers who can ski anywhere. This program allows athletes to experience an introduction to competition (giant slalom race, obstacle course, moguls competition, etc.) and is a stepping stone to AVSC’s TEAM (competitive) programs.
  • Dates:
    • January 8, 9, 22, 23, 29, February 5, 6, 12, 20, 26; March 5, 6
    • 7 Saturdays and 5 Sundays
  • Time: 9:00 am – 3:00 pm OR 9:15am – 3:15pm (Full Day Lesson)
    • *exact time slot will be announced before the start of the program.
  • Who:
    • Grades 2 – 8
    • Skiers
    • Level 6 and above
  • Place: Highlands – AVSC Clubhouse
  • Details:
    • Lunch will be included in the price of the program and offered through the Merry Go Round.
    • There will be no lessons on Martin Luther King Weekend and President’s Day Weekend
    • Price does not include lift ticket.
    • Participants must purchase a full season pass ($224 on or before December 4th). 
    • Scholarships available
  • Program Fee: $1470 until November 1; $1635 on or after November 2

ALL MOUNTAIN PROGRAMS 

*New Program* MOUNTAIN EXPRESS – 8 days skiing (Grades 5 - 8); Level 5 and above.

  • Overview: This new Mountain Express Program is for skiers who want to experience the terrain on all four of our mountains under the guidance of great professional instructors in a fun, recreational group environment. Skiers must be well-rounded and a strong level 5 or higher.
  • Dates:
    • January 8, 9, 22, 29 February 5, 12, 26, March 5
    • 8 days of lessons - 7 Saturdays and 1 Sundays (Opening weekend is Saturday & Sunday)
  • Time: 9am – 3pm (Full Day Lesson)
  • Who:
    • Grades 5 – 8
    • Skiers
    • Level 5 and above.
  • Place: Announced week to week and communicated via email.
  • Details
    • There will be no lessons on Martin Luther King Weekend and President’s Day Weekend
    • All athletes will be required to bring their own lunch that fits in a fanny pack or a tight fitting back pack.  Shelter will be provided where athletes will eat lunch.
    • Price include lift ticket for days of lessons only.
    • Scholarships available
  • Program Fee: $860 until November 1; $960 on or after November 2
