AVSC is proud to provide need-based scholarships to our athletes to ensure every child that wants to participate in programming regardless of financial status.

2023–2024 Competition Scholarship
Aspen Valley Ski & Snowboard Club appreciates the rich tradition of our athletes competing at the highest levels. AVSC recognizes that chasing your dreams can become expensive. To help ease this burden and keep our athletes on the road to excellence, AVSC will provide grants of up to $1,500 to deserving junior athletes.
Qualifying criteria for this scholarship is as follows:
First and foremost, athletes must embrace AVSC’s core values: Commitment, Teamwork and Integrity. We expect athletes to be ambassadors for the club and the greater Aspen community.
Additionally, athletes must:
- Be a current AVSC Team Athlete
- Have qualified for one of the competitions listed in Alpine, Freestyle/Freeride, Nordic or Snowboard (page 2 of attachment)
- Have approval from their Program Director
- Have a plan for bringing positive exposure to AVSC
- Athletes will be required to handwrite a thank you note to the donors that made this scholarship possible
*Please note that negative press and social media exposure depicting behavior countering these values and standards will jeopardize awards.

ASK PROGRAM SCHOLARSHIPS
ASK scholarships are available based on need. Athletes applying for a scholarship must submit their completed registration and scholarship application by November 1, 2023. A $100 deposit is required to apply for a scholarship. Scholarships are only available to residents of the Roaring Fork Valley or Western Garfield County. Scholarships are available for ASK Snowarriors (Buttermilk & Snowmass) & Ridgerunner programs. Please Note: Bill Koch Youth Nordic League early pricing and scholarship deadline matches that of ASK (November 1, 2023), but use the same form as TEAM Athletes (above).

TEAM SCHOLARSHIP FORM
FUNDRAISING
Peer-to-Peer Fundraising Campaign
September 1, 2023 - November 30, 2023Peer-to-peer funsraiding period is CLOSED.
All AVSC athletes are encouraged to set up their very own Strongest Together Peer-to-Peer fundraising platform to help offset their program fees while also raising funds for their fellow athletes and the AVSC Scholarship Fund to ensure that every child that wants to participate in AVSC programs is able to do so. 50% of the donations that an athlete raises will go on their Campminder account as a credit to be used toward the 2023-2024 season's program fees and travel expenses, with the remaining 50% going directly to AVSC's scholarship fund.

Nancy Oakes-Hall Memorial Scholarship Fund
AVSC is thrilled to bring back an exciting summer scholarship opportunity for AVSC female TEAM athletes and staff. Nancy Oakes-Hall, an AVSC alumna, and coach was an inspirational and gracious community member with a fervent passion for skiing.
The Nancy Oakes-Hall Memorial Fund was created to support female AVSC athletes (currently enrolled in a Team program) and employees pursuing excellence in winter sports. This fund supports team off-season training opportunities (May-August) across all four disciplines or professional development opportunities for AVSC employees. Applicants must demonstrate AVSC’s core values and exemplify Nancy’s passion for skiing and love of community.

AVSC is excited to announce the 2023 Summer Camp scholarship opportunity for AVSC TEAM athletes. The award amount will be based on the number of applications and available funding.
