Alpine Spring Development Camp

Join us Monday March 30th through April 2nd for our annual alpine race development camp. This camp is open to children aged 7-11 who are a level 7 skier or above. This is a great opportunity to continue working on racing or try it out for the first time. The camp can help athletes decide if they would like to pursue alpine racing next season.

Each day athletes will engage in a gate training session as well as directed freeskiing with their groups from 9am to 3pm. Monday and Tuesday will be an introduction to Slalom followed by Wednesday and Thursday’s introduction to Giant Slalom.

For this camp, please ensure your athlete has alpine skis appropriate for the athlete’s size and ability, alpine ski boots (ideally with four buckles), ski poles, and a helmet and goggles. We recommend that helmets not be more than two years old. Race skis are not required for this camp; however, twin tips are strongly discouraged.

This camp is limited to 30 athletes.

Questions about the camp? Please contact your program lead if you are enrolled in AVSC Alpine or Annie Tansley our Alpine Youth Coordinator atansley@teamavsc.org.
