Wilder Dwight Memorial Race Series

This week-long series of races each January on AVSC's Stapleton Training Center at Aspen Highlands gives younger athletes at AVSC the chance to experience the thrill of a downhill ski race with downhill and Super G races for FIS and U16 racers. In its 39th year, the series is a proving ground for future champions and a right of passage for speed skiers. It honors promising athlete Wilder Dwight, who died tragically in December, 1986, when he fell into a mine shaft on a closed part of Aspen Mountain.
