 In order to keep our programs affordable and provide scholarships to deserving local children, AVSC depends upon contributions to make up almost half our budget. Your support today will give more children the chance to have an experience that will shape their lives both on and off the slopes. As the Roaring Fork Valley's oldest non-profit organization, AVSC has helped generations of children experience the outdoors in winter. Beyond cementing their connection to the mountains, AVSC participants grow as people, building self-confidence, developing new friendships and gaining the knowledge that the mountains are beautiful places worth protecting. Each of them learns AVSC's core values of commitment, teamwork and integrity. AVSC programs are inclusive and fun. Children from different towns and backgrounds meet and share the same experience, an experience that fosters friendships and shapes their character as they grow up.
