The Base Camp Programs invite young winter enthusiasts of all abilities to get involved with AVSC. Base Camp provides skiing and snowboarding lessons taught by Aspen Skiing Company instructors and Nordic lessons taught by the AVSC staff. Classes are available for pre-school ages through grade 12.
Children ages 3-1/2 through Kindergarten can join Aspenauts in Snowmass or Powder Pandas/6 Saturday Program at Buttermilk.
Skiers (ages 3-1/2 and up) and snowboarders (Kindergarten and up) looking to get a jump on the season should try SnoBandits.
Our most popular program is SnoWarriors, ski and snowboarding lessons for beginners through experts in grades 1-6.
For skiers and riders grades 7-12, AVSC offers All Mountain, a program geared for teens who want to ski or ride with up to 6 friends and have a say in where they go on the mountain.
Involved in other sports or have a tricky schedule? Give AVSC Flex a try! You choose the mountain and the time!
Looking to try cross-country skiing? Check out our Cross-Country Grades 1-2, Grades 3-4 programs or our Spring Gulch Kinder and NordWarriors programs.
Skiers who want to try out snowboarding should choose our Cross-Over Program. Three Sundays and you can find out what it's all about!
RidgeRunners is an introduction to alpine and freestyle competition offered two days a week at Aspen Highlands.
All classes are organized based on age and ability. Scholarships are available for the SnoWarrior, AVSC All Mountain, and RidgeRunner programs only. Questions? Call Base Camp Director Trish Shepard at (970) 205-5160.
