DATES: AUGUST 8-16, 2013. LEAVE ASPEN ON THE 8TH. ARRIVE ON THE 9TH. SKI 10-15, ARRIVE BACK IN ASPEN ON THE AUGUST 16.
SKIING: PALMER SNOWFIELD, MT. HOOD, OREGON
LODGING: Inn at Cooper Spur. The Inn is located on the sunny side of Mt Hood, about 25 minutes from Timberline Lodge and Hood River. The Inn will provide lodging, meals and most dry-land facilities.
CURRICULUM: The camp will be SLALOM ONLY. Focusing on basic skiing skills, blocking and pole plant in a single motion, slalom rhythm, slalom vision and slalom tactics. We will ski 6 straight days to reduce overall cost. Volume will be adjusted per day based on recovery ability and overall well-being of the group.
STAFF: Greg Needell, AVSC Alpine Director and Austin Nevins, AVSC Ability Coach. We will adjust coaching numbers based on numbers of athletes.
COST: $1550. This will include everything EXCEPT meals on the road to and from Mt. Hood.
DEADLINES: This camp needs to be confirmed by July 15th. All athletes planning to attend should sign up by July 10 with a $500 non-refundable deposit and pay in full before departure.
