About Our Team Programs

AVSC Team Programs engage and challenge athletes to improve themselves in the areas of fitness, technique, tactics and results. Devo and Team programs help athletes set and achieve both athletic and personal goals. Preseason dryland training may be included. Regardless of the program, AVSC’s experienced coaching staff stands ready to help aspiring athletes have fun and realize their dreams while instilling our core values of teamwork commitment and integrity. Athletes must meet minimum participation requirements to remain on the team. Season passes and competition costs are not included in the program prices.

Team Scholarship

Scholarships are available for all team programs based on need. Applications can be found online , at the clubhouse or by calling the AVSC Admin Manager at 970.205.5101. Completed team scholarship applications are due on or before Sept. 1 2016. Completed Devo Scholarship applications (including Alpine U12 Comp) are due on or before Sept. 30 2016.

General Team Info

AVSC COST
AVSC subsidizes each of our programs to make access to programs affordable. We encourage our parents to pay the actual cost, called the “AVSC Cost” if you are able. The difference between our pricing and the full cost will be recognized as a tax-deductible contribution to the Club.

ASPEN SKIING COMPANY SKI PASSES
Ski passes are not included with program fees. Athletes must be enrolled as participants in an AVSC program before buying a pass. Once registered, AVSC will issue a printed voucher to purchase a discounted Aspen Skiing Company ski pass. For online sign up’s, your AVSC email confirmation is your pass voucher. Bring the voucher and your child to any open Aspen Skiing Company ticket office beginning in August to complete your pass purchase.

WORK DEPOSITS
Parent Work Deposits are part of all Team programs and must be paid at the time of registration. Parents who volunteer with AVSC are reimbursed up to 75% of the deposit at a rate of $15/hour. All hours will be tracked by the parent volunteer and confirmed by a Team coach. Completed forms should be turned into the AVSC Administration Manager before Apr. 30, 2017. Tracking forms are available at the Clubhouse. Families are encouraged to consider donating work deposit refunds to AVSC for a “Child in Need.”

FEE PAYMENT & PAYMENT PLANS
Team program fees must be paid in full before the first day of training, or a payment plan must be established. Payment plans can be arranged by emailing AVSC Accounts Receivable Bookkeeper, Emma Lande at elande@teamavsc.org. Outstanding balances from prior seasons must be paid in full before family members will be allowed to enroll for the 2016-17 season. A $25 processing fee will be applied to all payment plans of up to $1,000; a $50 processing fee will be applied to all plans of $1,000 or more.

ATHLETE ACCOUNTS
All AVSC Team participants are required to have a signed athlete account form with a credit or debit card on file - no exceptions. Travel charges are due 2 weeks after notification. If payment is not received the card on file will automatically be charged.

DECLINED CHARGES
A $25 fee will be assessed for any credit or debit card transaction which is declined on a payment plan installment or an athlete travel account. Your child’s participation will be suspended until payment arrangements are made.

ACADEMIC EXPECTATIONS
All student-athletes must maintain at least a C average in each of their classes to be able to miss school for training, travel or competition. Athletes are expected to fulfill all requirements outlined by their teachers for work missed and attend all study halls designated by AVSC staff members.

MID-SEASON ENROLLMENT FOR TEAM PROGRAMS
Athletes may be allowed to enroll in Team programs after the program start date with the permission of the Program Director. Program Fees will be determined based on the following: Before Jan. 1 - Full Price, Between Jan. 1 and Feb. 1 - 25% discount, After Feb. 1 - 50% discount.

REFUND POLICY
100% refunds are permitted before the program start date. Once a program begins, refunds are only available for documented medical reasons or family relocation. Refunds are determined by the following: Before Jan. 1 - 50%, Between Jan. 1 and Feb. 1 - 25%, After Feb. 1 - No Refund. Any season pass discounted through enrollment in AVSC will be voided upon withdrawal.

PARTICIPATION
AVSC reserves the right to expel athletes who do not live up to participant expectations, cause disruptions or create an atmosphere that is not conducive to learning. Program fees will not be refunded.
